Role Description

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content across the company’s social media channels to build brand awareness and engagement. Day-to-day tasks include developing social media calendars, producing posts and stories, coordinating visual assets, and monitoring performance metrics and audience feedback. The role involves collaborating with marketing and sales colleagues to support campaigns, promotions, product launches, and customer storytelling, as well as responding to comments and messages in a timely, professional manner. The Social Media Manager will track trends, competitor activity, and platform updates to recommend new tactics and formats. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Huddersfield.

  • Demonstrated experience managing social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) and growing online communities.
  • Strong skills in content creation, including copywriting, basic graphic design, and working with photo and video assets.
  • Ability to use social media analytics tools to measure performance, generate insights, and optimize campaigns.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles, including brand positioning, audience targeting, and campaign planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and consistent brand tone of voice.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple platforms, campaigns, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners such as agencies, photographers, or influencers.
  • Familiarity with the home, interiors, or hospitality sectors is an advantage, as is prior experience in a consumer-facing brand.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools and basic design or editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe tools) is beneficial.
  • Relevant education or training in marketing, communications, media, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
