Social Media Manager - National Theatre and The Conduit.

We're looking for...

We are looking for a creative, commercially minded Social Media Manager to lead and grow the social presence of a diverse portfolio of hospitality and cultural brands across National Theatre Food & Drink and The Conduit. The role is based primarily at the National Theatre due to number of outlets.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, community engagement, guest acquisition and revenue across a range of venues and experiences, including:

  • Lasdun Restaurant
  • The Understudy
  • National Theatre Events
  • Nettle
  • Birchwood

The ideal candidate will combine strong content creation skills with strategic thinking, an understanding of hospitality marketing, and a passion for culture, food, drink and events.

Social Media Manager - The Role

Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and emerging platforms.
  • Create brand-specific content plans and social calendars for each venue and campaign.
  • Align social activity with wider marketing, commercial and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase reach, engagement, reservations, private events.

Content Creation

  • Lead the creation of engaging, high-quality content including photography, video, Reels, Stories and short-form content.
  • Capture content on location across multiple venues and events.
  • Brief and manage external photographers, videographers and content creators where required.
  • Ensure content maintains each brand's unique tone of voice and visual identity.

Community Management

  • Manage day-to-day social media activity across all accounts.
  • Respond to comments, messages and customer enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Build and nurture online communities, driving engagement and advocacy.
  • Monitor conversations, trends and audience sentiment.

Campaign Delivery

  • Work closely with marketing teams to support launches, seasonal campaigns, events, menus and activations.
  • Create and manage paid social campaigns alongside marketing stakeholders and agency partners where appropriate.
  • Support influencer partnerships, creator collaborations and social competitions.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyse performance across all channels.
  • Produce regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Track key KPIs including engagement, follower growth, reach, website traffic, reservations and conversions.
  • Continuously test, learn and optimise content performance.

Brand & Industry Awareness

  • Stay current with social media trends, platform updates and best practices.
  • Identify innovative opportunities to keep our brands relevant and engaging.
  • Champion social-first thinking across the business.

Essential

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years' experience managing social media accounts for hospitality, lifestyle, food & drink, events or cultural brands.
  • Strong content creation skills, particularly video-first content.
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar tools.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Experience managing multiple brands simultaneously.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience working with restaurants, bars or cultural venues.
  • Experience running paid social campaigns.
  • Experience with influencer marketing and creator partnerships.
  • Photography and basic video editing skills.
  • Understanding of CRM and digital marketing channels.
