Social Media Manager

Peterborough - 2 days a week in the office
£40,000 to £45,000
12-month fixed-term contract

What would you do with an established LinkedIn audience of more than 200,000 followers, an active CEO who genuinely values social media and a huge bank of content ready to be put to work?

We’re recruiting a Social Media Manager for a large, international organisation with ambitious growth plans and a complex global audience.

You’ll take ownership of the social media strategy, bring structure to multiple channels and turn an already impressive audience into stronger engagement and meaningful action.

The foundations are firmly in place. You’ll have access to campaign content, creative assets, marketing support and senior stakeholders who want social media to play a bigger role in the organisation’s future.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage a social media strategy aligned with wider marketing and growth objectives
  • Take ownership of a LinkedIn audience of more than 200,000 followers
  • Review a complex network of corporate, international social media channels
  • Create a clearer global approach to channel ownership, brand governance and content
  • Manage organic activity across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
  • Identify opportunities to improve reach, engagement, click-throughs and audience action
  • Work with an active, visible CEO to amplify thought leadership and key messages
  • Prioritise content across multiple campaigns, events, audiences and internal requests
  • Use existing content and creative assets to build a consistent, engaging content calendar
  • Schedule content using Sprout Social as a social media management tool
  • Produce monthly reports and turn performance data into practical recommendations
  • Work with external agencies supporting Paid Social and content activity
  • Improve the connection between social media, website journeys and organisational goals

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
