Social Media Manager
If you know your Reels from your TikToks, understand why people stop scrolling and genuinely enjoy figuring out what makes social content work, this could be a very good move.
I’m working with an established creative agency in Bath that is looking for a Social Media Manager to take ownership of social across a portfolio of clients. This is not a role where you’ll simply be scheduling content and ticking boxes. You’ll shape the strategy, come up with ideas, create content, work with creatives and creators, speak to clients and use performance data to make things better.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to have a real say in the work and be involved from the initial idea right through to seeing it live.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll own the social strategy for your clients, turning business objectives, audience insight and the latest platform trends into content and campaigns people actually want to engage with.
You’ll be hands-on too. You’ll write copy, edit imagery and create short-form video, while working with designers, creatives, freelancers and external talent to bring bigger ideas to life. You’ll also write creative briefs and make sure everyone understands what good looks like.
You’ll be the main social contact for your clients, building relationships, presenting ideas and recommendations, and becoming someone they trust to know what is happening across social. You’ll keep your finger on the pulse of platform changes, competitor activity and emerging trends. You’ll use analytics and research to understand what is landing, what isn’t and where there are opportunities to do something different.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Then there’s the fun part - seeing the work go live. You’ll monitor communities, get involved in conversations, manage engagement and help make sure brands show up in the right way. You’ll also produce reporting and turn the numbers into useful insights rather than simply sending clients a spreadsheet full of metrics.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- Experience managing social media accounts, campaigns and strategies professionally.
- Excellent knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
- A strong understanding of what makes content work across different social platforms.
- Experience developing social strategies and content calendars.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
- Experience creating or editing short-form video and social imagery.
- Experience using tools such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop or Canva.
- Confidence presenting ideas and recommendations to clients.
- Experience using social analytics and performance data to improve content.
- The ability to manage several accounts, campaigns and deadlines at once.

Agency experience would be a bonus, but isn’t essential. An interest in new technology and AI-powered social tools would be useful.
What you’ll get in return for your experience
A salary of up to £40,000, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate. You’ll join a genuinely creative environment where social sits at the heart of the work, rather than being an afterthought. You’ll have the opportunity to work with interesting brands, get involved in ambitious campaigns and have genuine ownership over your accounts. You’ll be based in Bath with hybrid working available.
What's next?
If you’re a Social Media Manager who wants more ownership, more creative input and the opportunity to work on social that people actually notice, I’d love to hear from you.
