Marketing Assistant

We are currently hiring for a Marketing Assistant role to join our team in Organic Social.

The Marketing Assistant will work with the organic social media team to support the delivery of a key area within the business (including tactical implementation and delivery). The team focuses on delivering excellence through organic social account execution and optimisation, data analysis and relationship building across marketing teams within the business.

The team delivers content and account management for Taylor & Francis and Routledge Books across Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads and TikTok.

Reporting to the Organic Social Media Manager, you will support planning, delivery and reporting of brand-aligned, ROI maximised, effective and efficient social media marketing activity.

This role sits within the Performing Marketing team (which includes Paid Social and PPC Marketing) and has a global remit.

What you will be doing:

  • Support management of social media accounts, including content creation, copywriting, account monitoring, community engagement and reporting across LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, Bluesky and TikTok.
  • Support the implementation of new social campaigns and accounts according to briefs.
  • Support with reporting on campaign and post-performance.
  • Work closely with managers and specialists, supporting key projects within the social media and performance marketing team.
  • Carry out research in line with marketing briefs.
  • Monitor competitor activity and discover new opportunities.
  • Make recommendations to improve performance and drive further efficiencies.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about digital marketing and is looking to develop their knowledge and understanding of digital marketing practices, with a particular focus on Social Media. In this role, you’ll get hands-on experience across 6+ social platforms, exposure to data-driven marketing strategies, and opportunities to develop content creation and analytical skills with mentorship from experienced social media and performance marketing professionals.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of organic social media across LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, Bluesky, and TikTok. Hands-on experience managing accounts is desirable.
  • Experience in social media video content creation on platforms such as TikTok & Instagram is desirable but not essential.

Essential:

  • An interest in social media and all things performance marketing.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and comfortable working with data.
  • Experience using Excel and presenting data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Great time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • An eagerness to learn and show initiative.

Tools:

  • Social Media Management (e.g. Sprinklr or alternative)
  • Basic Design Tools (Canva, Adobe Express, Instagram Edits, CapCut)
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of our offices to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office locations to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time, with those 3 days a week spent in our office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire.

Please note that our Milton Park office will be relocating to Oxford city centre in late 2027 / early 2028, offering an exciting new workplace in the heart of the city.
