About the Opportunity
Movara Living is a UK-based startup building a specialist marketplace for furnished mid-term accommodation in Portugal. Alongside Movara, we are developing OUTPOST — a new hospitality and community concept focused on bringing small international communities to beautiful, overlooked and declining towns, creating meaningful connections between international visitors and local communities.
We are looking for a creative and ambitious university student to join us as a Social Media & Marketing Intern and help build both brands from an early stage.
This is an opportunity to work directly with the founder, take ownership of real projects, and gain hands-on experience across social media, content, digital marketing, travel, hospitality, real estate, and entrepreneurship.
The Role
You will help develop the digital presence of Movara and OUTPOST across social media and other marketing channels. Your work will include creating content, developing social media ideas, researching new opportunities, and helping us establish the voice and visual identity of both brands.
A particularly exciting part of the role will be helping develop the story of OUTPOST 01 — researching potential locations in Portugal, discovering interesting towns and communities, identifying potential properties and partnerships, and helping document the journey from concept to launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Develop short-form video, Reels, social posts, carousels, and other visual content
- Help establish and maintain the content strategy and publishing calendar
- Develop creative ideas around Portugal, furnished accommodation, relocation, travel, and lifestyle
- Create property-focused and destination-focused content for Movara
- Help develop the brand voice and visual identity across both Movara and OUTPOST
- Research potential content opportunities, trends, and relevant online communities
- Assist with the development of OUTPOST 01 content and storytelling
- Research Portuguese towns, properties, local businesses, events, and potential partnerships
- Help identify opportunities to grow awareness and engagement organically
- Track basic social media performance and identify what content is working
- Work directly with the founder and contribute ideas to wider marketing initiatives

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
