We're Hiring Content Creators | 2 Week Contract | Norfolk

Academy of Robotics is looking for creative people to join us for an intensive 2 week content creation project at our headquarters at RAF Neatishead in Norfolk.

If you enjoy creating content around technology, AI, engineering or simply telling interesting stories, we'd love to hear from you.

Company Description

Academy of Robotics is a technology company with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and researchers focused on solving complex real-world problems. The company specializes in creating technologies that perform or simplify intricate tasks by combining advanced machine learning with mechatronics. Its work includes building powerful self-adapting machines and task-specific artificial intelligence systems. In 2020, Academy of Robotics launched some of the first self-driving cars in Europe and has been testing them on public roads in the UK since then, offering team members the opportunity to contribute to pioneering autonomous vehicle technology.

Role Description

The Social Media Marketing Specialist role is a contract, on-site position based in the Norfolk region. This role involves planning, creating, and publishing engaging social media content across platforms to showcase the company’s innovations and brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media calendars
  • Monitor performance metrics
  • Optimize campaigns to increase reach, engagement, and follower growth
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to translate complex robotics and AI concepts into accessible content
  • Respond to community interactions
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice
  • Support broader digital marketing initiatives, such as campaign coordination and content alignment with overall marketing objectives

Daily Tasks:

  • Researching and engaging with relevant online communities, including forums, blogs, Reddit, and specialist websites
  • Identifying where useful conversations are happening
  • Contributing appropriately, building relationships, sharing relevant content, and conducting direct outreach without spamming or using generic promotional messages

Qualifications

  • Skills in Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing for planning and executing campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Skills in Social Media Content Creation and Marketing to develop compelling, brand-aligned content and messaging
  • Strong Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage online communities clearly and effectively
  • Experience with social media analytics tools, performance reporting, and data-driven optimization of campaigns
  • Familiarity with technology or robotics sectors, or the ability to quickly learn and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site
  • Relevant education or training in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is beneficial
  • Prior experience in a social media specialist or similar marketing role, preferably within a tech-focused environment
