Shape how a new London app tells its story and grows online, from the beginning. Volunteering, remote-friendly.

About Igodo

Igodo is a London app for small, curated in-person gatherings called connects. Small groups of compatible people, one good plan, real life. No feeds, no swiping, no engagement tricks. We measure ourselves on one thing: whether people meet again. We launched this summer on the App Store and Google Play and we're building the founding community by hand.

The idea

Making friends as an adult has become genuinely hard, and most apps make it worse by keeping people on their phones. Igodo gets them off it. Our traditions are the gatherings people come back to: The Sunday Chapter, a reading morning at a Hackney café, Stage Door for theatre nights, Jazz It Up for live music. Every one of them is a small story about strangers becoming regulars. The product is live and the stories are real. What we don't have yet is someone thinking properly about how Igodo shows up online, where, and how it grows from here. That's the invitation.

What you'd do

  • Think about where Igodo should be and what each place is for: Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, a newsletter, or somewhere we haven't thought of
  • Shape how Igodo presents itself online: the look of the grid, the formats, the rhythm, which stories we tell and which we leave alone
  • Turn what comes back from connects into recaps, stories and reels, and write in the Igodo voice: calm, warm, plain, no hype
  • Find ways to reach more of the right people that fit who we are. Collaboration posts with partner venues and curators have worked for us already, and we'd like that to become a repeatable recipe rather than a happy accident
  • Work out what's worth measuring, then tell us honestly what's working and what isn't
  • If you're in London and want to, come to connects and capture them yourself. You're a guest in the room, with your costs covered

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who it's for

  • You think in strategy and you also make things. You can argue for a direction and then shoot, edit or write the first version of it yourself
  • You already make content, for yourself or for someone else, and you want a real brand with real stakes to shape
  • You'd like published work to show for it, and a reference that says exactly what you did and what it led to
  • You care about the problem. Loneliness in big cities bothers you and you'd like to work on it directly
  • Students, people between jobs, career changers and anyone in marketing with a few spare hours and good taste. The shape is built to fit around everything else, wherever you are

How we work

You'd work directly with the founder, who runs the accounts and has the final say on what goes out, so nothing is published without a second pair of eyes and you're never on the hook for a deadline. You'll get the brand guide, the shared media folder, and everything we've learned so far about what has and hasn't worked. Your ideas get a straight answer, usually the same day, and the ones we go with happen quickly. Two things we never bend on: only people who've said yes to photos ever appear, and we don't chase numbers for their own sake. Growth, for us, is someone seeing Igodo, coming to a connect and coming back.

How it works

This is volunteering, not a job. There are no set hours. You contribute when you want to and step back whenever life needs you to, no questions asked. Igodo reimburses your own actual costs at connects you come to cover, tickets and travel, on receipts. You keep ownership of what you make. Sharing it with Igodo means we can use it on our channels.

What you get

  • A brand you helped shape early, and a body of published work to show for it
  • A reference from the founder that describes what you made and what it changed, not a template
  • Direct mentorship in building a small brand from nothing, and a real say in Igodo's direction online
  • Your costs covered at every connect you come to
  • Being there at the start of something, with the title to show for it
  • Igodo is growing. If this works well for both of us, there will be more to talk about as it does

How to join

Apply here. We'll reply asking for links to two or three things you've made, wherever they live, and a few lines on what you'd do first with Igodo's socials. If you'd rather skip a step, send those straight to hello@igodo.app. If you've been to a connect, tell us.
