Account Handling Vacancies in Edinburgh
Senior Account Manager or Account Director (Not Remote / Must Be Able to Commute to Edinburgh 2 Days/Week)
This is a brand new role within a growing, dynamic digital marketing agency who specialise in Social Media execution and delivery across some top UK consumer brands. Due to growth and new business wins, the agency are looking to bolster their team with an additional Senior Account Manager or Account Director.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on some fantastic accounts including tourism, leisure and brands (amongst others) on a UK and global basis. At a senior level, you will be involved very much on the strategic growth of each client account, as well as hands-on delivery of social media, content, digital marketing and activation.
You’ll also be involved with the development of the agency including processes and procedures, new business development (pitches & presentations), client development and also team management and mentorship.
It’s a senior role and we’re looking for a solid 5 years + experience of social media and digital marketing.
Social Media Account Director Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duty of a Social Media Account Director is brand development through social media channels and content strategy. You will identify target customers / audiences, set clear objectives, build an effective content strategy to engage the audience, increase traffic and boost conversions. Social Media Account Directors manage the clients’ online community by reading customers’ comments, answering questions and actively engaging the audience.
Here are examples of Social Media Director duties:
- Plan, design, implement and monitor social media marketing campaigns.
- Create, curate and manage social media content, including text, audio, visual and multimedia formats.
- Engage users with prompt responses, organize competitions, ask questions and cultivate relationships.
- Monitor social media trends, including developments in design, applications, strategy and innovation to stay relevant and effective.
- Create comprehensive marketing plans to boost brand image, increase customer engagement and improve conversions.
- Design, implement and manage social ad campaigns integrated into the company’s strategic marketing plans.
- Hire and supervise talented creatives, including Freelance Writers and Graphic Designers and influencers, and coordinate their activities to achieve social media campaign objectives.
- Track social media campaigns’ key performance metrics to maximise results and report progress to client management.
- Get involved with high-level new business pitches
- Team management and mentorship

Salary purely dependent on skills & experience to £52,000 + great perks.
Social Media Account Manager

A brand new position has arisen for a Social Media Specialist at Account Manager level. With a minimum of 2 years’ experience of the hand-on delivery of social media across consumer brands, you will have a passion and the relevant experience in social media / content / activation.
Social Media Manager Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of Social Media Managers can cover multiple disciplines. The day-to-day tasks can include the following tasks:
- Developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
- Analysing the long-term needs of the clients’ social media strategy and offering reports to the management and executive teams, outlining any necessary changes to the overall digital marketing plan
- Creating captivating content for an clients social media sites, which may include writing blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content
- Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies
- Developing monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and client teams
- Developing and overseeing competitions and campaigns to draw attention to a brand
- Setting measurable goals for campaigns, measuring and showing the Return on Investment (ROI)
- Monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments and social media posts
- Managing a social media team and guiding junior members
- Liaising with other departments and creatives to create a holistic and effective online marketing strategy
