We’re recruiting a Social Media Officer to join our team. This is a flexible role that includes regular evening and weekend work.

You’ll work on all aspects of our social channels, from community management to content creation and beyond. With the support of the senior members of the social media team, you’ll deliver on long-term plans that engage diverse audiences and support our ‘Inspire’ strategic goals, using insight and data to for audience-focused campaigns, content and community strategies that deliver measurable impact.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience delivering strategic social media activity at a national level. You’ll be confident building relationships with stakeholders across teams, influencing others to make the most of social media, and managing situations that could present reputational risk.

What it's like to work here

You’ll join the Social Media team within our Communications & Fundraising Directorate, helping to manage the Trust’s national channels, online reputation, and support for regional, property, and specialist accounts.

Our team of six is based across the UK and works primarily remotely, coming together up to once a month, alongside site visits for training and content creation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
