Location: Westminster, London
Salary: Competitive Reporting to: Head of Social Media / Deputy Head of Social Media
The Role
Reform UK is expanding its Brand Social Media team and is looking for talented Social Media Producers to create and publish the content that sets the party apart across Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram and other channels. The role is based full-time at Reform UK's Westminster headquarters and forms part of a seven-day publishing operation.
You will work with original reporting, long-form video, speeches, events, campaign material and raw footage to produce vertical clips, graphics, explainers, reactions, text posts, captions and repeatable platform-native formats. The job is to make strong material land with maximum impact - not simply cross-post the same asset everywhere.
What you'll do
- Publish high-impact social content
- Develop and publish platform-native content from Reform UK's reporting, video, live events, political activity and campaign material across all major brand accounts.
- Create vertical video, clips, captions, graphics, explainers, reactions, text posts and other treatments appropriate to the audience and mechanics of each platform.
- Write sharp, accurate social copy and identify the strongest hooks, moments and visual treatments without becoming misleading or repetitive.
- Maintain high posting discipline and meet the deadlines required by a seven-day political news cycle, including rapid-response output when the agenda moves quickly.
Key Responsibilities
-
Adapt content for each platform
- Understand that Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram and other platforms require different creative, copy, length, pacing and distribution choices.
- Reshape assets natively and use the strongest format for each platform.
- Create strong vertical cuts from long-form interviews, events and speeches, with compelling sells, accurate captions, good hooks and clean visual presentation.
- Work with editors and video colleagues to prepare assets before major releases so the best social moments are available immediately.
- Develop repeatable formats and recurring treatments that audiences recognise and that can be produced fast and efficiently at high cadence.
-
React quickly to opportunities
- Monitor the political agenda, social conversation and platform trends and flag fast-moving opportunities to the Deputy Head or Head of Social.
- Be prepared to switch from planned content to breaking-news output when the opportunity is significant, while maintaining accuracy and professional judgement.
- Look for follow-up posts, quotes, clips, replies, explainers or audience questions that can extend the life of strong content after the first publication.
- Bring proactive ideas to the desk every day rather than waiting only for assignments – the Brand Social team operates in a fast, dynamic environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

-
Use numbers to improve your output
- Track the performance of your posts and understand the importance of speed, quality and originality to social success. Monitor the core metrics used by each platform, including reach, non-follower reach, engagement, completion and shares.
- Learn which hooks, lengths, topics, posting times, captions and formats repeatedly perform well and apply those lessons to future work.
-
Work as part of one digital operation
- Collaborate closely with Website, Video & Live and other social producers so the strongest material is shared early and adapted effectively.
- Follow the central content grid, publishing calendar, handovers and account-ownership rules so output remains organised across shifts.
- Help direct social attention towards deeper website, video, email, ReformGo or supporter journeys when the content and audience intent make that appropriate.
Performance and Standards
- Check facts, names, captions, context and source material carefully before publishing, even when speed really matters.
- Understand basic legal and compliance issues around defamation, copyright, privacy, contempt, elections and platform policies, and escalate concerns quickly.
- Treat account access, confidential material, unreleased content and internal information securely and professionally.
- Follow agreed tone, approval and correction standards while still bringing creativity, personality and platform-native instincts to the work.
- Take feedback well and continuously improve editing, copy, graphics, platform understanding and speed.
- Demonstrate a genuine, active interest in British politics and current affairs and be committed to making Reform UK's social posts compelling, impactful and viral.
- Be a reliable teammate across early, late and weekend shifts, communicating clearly during handovers and helping colleagues when the desk is under pressure.
