Social Media & Production Assistant

Company: Metro Production Group (MPG)

Location: London (WPP Campus, Hybrid)

Metro Production Group (MPG) is a dynamic, leading creative events and production agency specialising in high-quality, customised events. As a proud part of WPP plc, and operating within the WPP Production network (formerly known as Hogarth Worldwide), we are dedicated to bringing exceptional ideas to life. We thrive on designing, building, and delivering cutting-edge live, hybrid, and experiential projects for our high-profile clients, consistently balancing creative ambition with operational reality to deliver excellence that leaves a lasting impact. We craft moments that resonate, connect, and inspire.

THE ROLE:

We are seeking an energetic and versatile Social Media & Production Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting dual role designed to boost the visibility and digital impact of MPG events while providing crucial operational and logistical support. You will split your time between capturing engaging on-site digital content (photos, videos, social media management) and assisting our team in seamlessly planning, coordinating, and delivering live events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Media & Content Creation (Approx. 50%):

  • Live Content Capture: Attend live events to capture high-quality photos, video reels, stories, and short-form video content that highlight event atmosphere and attendee engagement.
  • Social Channel Management: Manage live updates across key social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok) during events to drive real-time interaction.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing social media campaigns pre-, during-, and post-event.
  • Community & Analytics: Monitor channels, engage with followers/comments in a timely manner, edit basic visual content, and assist with reporting on engagement metrics and KPIs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
