Talent Pool Application: Social Media / Community Management / Influencer Manager
Please note, this is a talent pool advertisement, not a live role. If you would like to be considered for any future Social Media / Community Management / Influencer Manager positions at DEPT®, please submit an application and we will be in touch when a suitable opportunity arises.
Job Purpose:
We are always on the lookout for new talent. Whether you're looking to kick-start your social career, are a hands-on Community Management specialist, or are a seasoned Social Media or Influencer Manager with deep campaign and creator experience, we would love to hear from you.
As part of our embedded inhouse model, you will be employed by DEPT® but embedded within our Client’s team. From your day-to-day responsibilities, collaborations and deliverables, you’ll operate directly within the client team, allowing for the best of both worlds: the close-knit feel and impact of working inhouse, alongside access to the benefits, opportunities and support that DEPT® offers.
Your objective will be to realize the cultural potential of the Client across social channels, driving salience, organic growth, and brand loyalty. You will manage community interaction, social strategies, creator programs, and social-first campaigns across key platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat), acting as the voice of the community internally while managing event presence and creator collaborations to make the Client a brand everyone talks about.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement social editorial and community strategies across key categories, aligning organic social content with business goals, brand objectives, and RTBs.
- Lead end-to-end influencer programs—from talent discovery, contracting, and briefing to content co-creation and campaign performance tracking.
- Drive day-to-day community management, crafting engaging, on-brand social copy and directly interacting with online communities across social handles to foster brand fandom.
- Utilize social management platforms to schedule content, manage workflows, monitor ongoing conversations, and generate monthly and quarterly performance reports.
- Act as the voice of the community internally, synthesizing real-time feedback, social listening insights, and audience sentiment to inform future briefs and business strategies.
- Support cross-functional campaign execution and assist in filling out creative briefs based on top-performing content and trends.
- Manage paid boosting strategies for always-on content and strategic activations in collaboration with media specialists and agency partners.
- Represent the Client at key industry and category events, supporting on-site social coverage and community connection.
- Cultivate direct relationships with major social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Sprinklr), positioning the Client as an innovative launch partner for new formats and tool features.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Client’s brand guidelines, target audiences, and category priorities to act as a trusted creative adviser across social touchpoints.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
