Social Media Specialist 6-Month FTC

Role Summary:
Do you embrace the power of social media? Would you like to shape perceptions of the Hyundai brand in the UK?
The Social Media Specialist is a key role within Hyundai’s Marketing team, taking the lead across HMUK’s social media and influencer activity to bring the brand to life in an engaging way that helps drive affinity and product consideration.
Your role will be instrumental in bringing to life omnichannel campaigns across owned, earned and paid by managing all aspects of organic social media and Influencer activity, as such a strong understanding and passion for social is a must. You will manage social campaigns that build interest, excitement and conversation about the Hyundai brand and its innovative products. Working with the Brand Communications Manager to create engaging content and work with wider team members, especially the eCRM specialist, to deliver the content across all owned channels. Whilst integrating closely with the wider Marketing and PR teams to activate campaigns and seamlessly bring the brand to life across HMUK social media platforms. You will also need to ensure all activity is monitored and reported to deliver tangible ROI.
You will be supported by HMUK’s agencies and will need to inspire and manage the teams to get the best possible output.

We want you to:
- Lead HMUK’s social media presence across organic in line with Hyundai’s brand aspirations, brand identity and marketing campaigns.
- Work with the Brand Communications Manager to develop the social media strategy based on insight, performance data and business requirements.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with the social media agency, including briefing content and activity requirements, coordinating timelines and approvals, and ensuring all outputs are aligned to social, campaign and business objectives.
- Develop creative and content from brief to approval, working with internal & external stakeholders as required.
- Lead influencer marketing campaigns and related activity.
- Manage reporting and analysis of all social media campaigns.
- Manage day-to-day social media community management and engagement.
- Work with the Customer Services Team.
- Maintain adherence to ‘earned, owned, paid’ approach across social media with full integration with the wider marketing and PR teams.
- Support retailer’s social media presence with retailer marketing teams.
- Ensure brand consistency across all output working with colleagues from across the organisation.
About you:
- A passion for social media and experience managing branded social channels.
- Ability to craft clear and engaging copy with excellent eye for detail.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills (budget, timings, outputs, planning ahead)
- Understanding of the automotive marketplace and a genuine enthusiasm for cars.
- A good understanding of across paid social marketing.
- Experience of managing external agencies and suppliers.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, ability to impact outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn: keen self-starter who stays on top of social media developments.
- Flexibility and nimbleness: the ability to adapt and flex as marketing plans evolve.
- Analytical: must be able to pull insights and measure the performance from data reports and listening tools.
- Organised: must be able to work solus and collaboratively to handle a high and diverse workload.
