About The Role
Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Social Media Specialist in our Marketing team, based at our Walsall office working in a hybrid pattern of four days onsite and flexibility to work from home one day per week.
With autonomy and trust to make an impact from day one, you will lead the management and execution of our social media activity. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, scheduling content calendars, analysing content performance, creating influencer relationships and building online communities across all key channels. You will moderate and respond to customer comments. Additionally, you’ll work closely with our Marketing Content Creator to develop social media content briefs that drive customer engagement and brand visibility.
Role
We are looking for someone with strong experience in a strategic Social Media, Digital Marketing or Media role, ideally within a retail, FMCG or consumer-facing business. You will have:
- Proven experience developing and delivering social media strategies.
- Experience managing multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and X.
- Demonstrable experience managing social media content calendars, scheduling and publishing content.
- Experience of community management, including responding to customer enquiries, moderating conversations and managing brand reputation.
- Good knowledge of social media analytics, reporting and performance measurement.
- Understanding of content marketing principles and social-first storytelling.
- Knowledge of community management best practice, online customer engagement and reputation management.
- Understanding of brand management and the importance of maintaining a consistent tone of voice.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make recommendations.
- Strong community management skills with a customer-first approach to engagement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all published content.
- Creative and innovative thinking combined with a commercial mindset and a focus on delivering measurable results.
