This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. The post holder will manage the social media schedule, publish and optimise content across FSC’s channels, monitor performance, manage community engagement, and work closely with colleagues across Communications, Campaigns, and other relevant teams to ensure FSC’s social presence is timely, engaging, and relevant.
The role will also contribute to reactive and crisis communications, working with the Communications team to monitor emerging issues and support appropriate responses across social media.

Community management
- Monitor FSC social media channels and respond to comments, questions, and relevant conversations in a timely and appropriate way.
- Use Brandwatch Engage and other relevant tools to monitor conversations, manage responses, and identify issues requiring escalation.
- Escalate sensitive, reputational, or potentially high-risk issues to the appropriate Communications colleagues.
- Support the development of consistent approaches to community management and social media responses.

- Establish and maintain practical social media reporting processes that provide clear insight into channel and content performance.
- Monitor key social media metrics and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Produce regular performance reports and translate data into clear recommendations for improving future content and channel performance.
- Test different approaches to content, formats, publishing, and engagement and use performance data to inform future activity.
- Build reporting processes that can evolve as the social media operation and its measurement needs develop.
Reactive and crisis communications
- Monitor social media and wider online conversations for emerging issues that may affect FSC.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
