Role Overview

Are you a Social Media Specialist who thrives in a busy environment? Based in London, you'll play a key role in managing and enhancing the organisation's social media presence to ensure effective communication and engagement with the public.

A public health agency based in London, operating within the media communications team to deliver a range of messaging across key social channels.

Description

As the Social Media Specialist you will:

  • Manage the organisation's social media accounts across various platforms.
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content tailored to target audiences.
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Analyse social media performance and prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists and teams to align social media strategies with broader communication goals.
  • Stay updated with social media trends and best practices to optimise engagement.
  • Support the development of campaigns and initiatives aimed at public awareness and engagement.
  • Ensure all content complies with organisational policies and public sector standards.

  • Proven experience managing social media platforms in a professional capacity from X to Insta!
  • Strong content creation and copywriting skills tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of social media tools and platforms for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Understanding of UK Civil Service communication standards and practices will be an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Job Offer

  • Daily rate of up to £162, dependent on the relevance of experience.
  • Temporary contract of 6 months.
  • Hybrid working 2-3 days in a centrally located office.
