The Social Media Volunteer will support Global Thinkers Meet Up’s online presence by creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Drafting posts that promote events and initiatives
- Repurposing dialogue themes into engaging content
- Monitoring accounts for comments and messages
The volunteer will help grow and engage the online community, collaborate with team members on digital campaigns, and ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging. This is a remote volunteer role, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to global dialogue and peace-building efforts.
Qualifications
- Ability to effectively use Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing to build awareness and engagement.
- Proficiency in Social Media Content Creation, including writing posts and selecting or creating visual assets.
- Foundational understanding of Marketing principles applied to community-building and nonprofit initiatives.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear writing and respectful, inclusive online interaction.
- Interest in civic engagement, global issues, and peace-building through dialogue.
- Familiarity with major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and basic analytics tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a small, mission-driven team.
