Are you passionate about tackling health inequalities, supporting vulnerable people and creating opportunities for people to live healthier, more independent lives?
At whg, we believe that a safe and secure home is only part of the picture. Our customers’ health, wellbeing, financial circumstances and access to their communities can all have a significant impact on their ability to thrive.
We’re looking for a Social Prescribing Manager to lead the successful delivery of our Social Prescribing and Young Persons Accommodation Support programmes, helping us improve outcomes for some of the most vulnerable people within our communities.
This is a varied and rewarding leadership role where you’ll oversee services designed to improve health and wellbeing, prevent homelessness and help customers successfully sustain their tenancies.
As this is a front-line leadership role, you’ll need to work on site for a minimum of three days per week, working alongside your team and the customers and partners we support.
If you’re an experienced and compassionate leader who understands the connection between housing, health and opportunity, and you want to lead services that make a measurable difference to people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
