POSITION SUMMARY
The Social Specialist is responsible for executing and coordinating Trafalgar’s organic social media content across platforms. The role supports daily content operations, audience engagement, and brand-aligned storytelling. This role contributes to the planning and rollout of platform-specific content including Instagram Stories, FB community posts, YouTube video activation, and campaign-driven editorial content.
Working closely with the Social Manager and cross-functional Customer teams, the Social Specialist helps manage a forward-planned calendar of recurring formats and campaign deliverables. From regular Story features to new channel strategies, this role supports the full cycle of ideation, asset coordination, copywriting, posting, and performance review/analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MULTI-PLATFORM CONTENT EXECUTION
- Support delivery of regular content formats including Instagram Stories, Facebook group posts, short-form video rollouts.
- Coordinate visual and written assets for posts, applying Trafalgar's brand voice and creative templates.
- Assist with ongoing management of platform calendars and ensure scheduled content is delivered on time.

CHANNEL-SPECIFIC GROWTH INITIATIVES
- Contribute to the launch and scaling of new or underutilized platforms, such as YouTube.
- Support scripting, planning, editing tasks tied to emerging content series (e.g., TD interviews, themed video segments).
- Collaborate on long-form and short-form strategy based on channel needs and audience expectations.
CAMPAIGN MESSAGING AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
- Deliver yield or campaign-related posts including confidence-building content, interview pieces, or story-driven assets.
- Contribute to message planning and asset rollout for brand moments (e.g., Women's Only programs, regional themes).
- Help maintain tone, visual consistency, and campaign timing across formats.
COORDINATION AND PLANNING
- Liaise with Customer functions to ensure assets and approvals are delivered ahead of schedule.
- Update content trackers and SharePoint folders to keep files accessible and version-controlled.
- Respond to team requests and changes quickly, adjusting timing or messaging where needed.
SOCIAL REPORTING & OPTIMISATION
- Support the analysis of post and platform performance using analytics tools.
- Assist in the production of regular reporting on reach, engagement, and audience growth, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement.
PLATFORM TRENDS & BEST PRACTICE
- Stay current with social media trends, algorithm updates, and content formats, proactively proposing content ideas that reflect evolving consumer behavior.
- Help ensure all content complies with brand guidelines and platform best practices.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
- 2–3 years' experience in a social media, content, or digital marketing role, ideally within the travel, lifestyle, or consumer brand space.
- Strong knowledge of major social platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and editing social-first content.
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with a flair for tone and visual storytelling.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about social media, digital culture, and community-building.
