A bit about what you’ll be doing...
- There are going to be multiple opportunities to engage with stakeholders, communities, and civil society organisations.
- This role will have an active and continuous part to play in ensuring that Overbury Southern are achieving the company and project targets for Social Value.
- You’ll have regular touch points with our supply chain, our clients, and our internal teams in the delivery, actioning, and recording of social value activities.
- You’ll be responsible for recording social value activity using internal and external databases and systems.
- You’ll be researching and producing local needs analysis to inform our Social Value offering within bids and proposals.

You’ll play a leading role in the participation of social value activities in different settings.
- Engage and encourage staff to support and volunteer with social value projects and initiatives.
- Maintain a database of external stakeholders such as community partners, schools, including training providers to build long-lasting relationships.
- Support colleagues responsible for social media with content and details to help promote social value activity.
What we are looking for:
- A passion and natural interest for the principles and values of Social Value and/or community investment, responsible business, or CSR.
- Empathy and openness for social challenges and why they exist.
- A willingness to learn about Social Value legislation and best practice.
- A born or learnt ability to plan, organise, and administrate.
- An ability to prioritise your workload and meet multiple deadlines with multiple businesses and individuals.
