Make an impact through creative storytelling
We are looking for a Social Videographer to join our Digital, Insight and Performance team and bring Oxford Saïd’s stories to life through compelling, social-first video content. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative videographer or video content creator who understands how to turn ideas and stories into engaging content that connects with diverse audiences.
Working with colleagues across the School, you will identify creative opportunities, explore emerging formats and develop distinctive video and multimedia content that showcases the people, ideas and impact of Oxford Saïd to audiences around the world. You will create and manage content across formats including video shorts, reels, graphics, audiograms and images, combining creative and technical skills with an understanding of what works across different web and social media platforms and audiences.

The role sits within a small, collaborative Central Marketing & Communications team, offering the opportunity to contribute your ideas, develop your experience and work on a varied range of creative projects across the School.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, film and produce high-quality video content for a wide range of purposes, including faculty profiles, interviews, events, programmes, campaigns, student and alumni stories.
- Manage video projects from end to end, including pre-production, filming, sound, subtitling and post-production, ensuring content is delivered to a high creative and technical standard and on brand.
- Create engaging, video content that brings the School’s research, programmes, events, students and wider community to life through short-form video, reels, graphics, audiograms and imagery.
- Collaborate across the School with Central Marketing & Communications, designers and wider teams to storyboard and develop high-quality content, respond to social media needs and support colleagues in using social channels effectively.
- Protect and champion the Oxford Saïd brand, ensuring written and visual content meets the School’s tone of voice, brand, design and quality standards, while monitoring audience responses and escalating reputational issues appropriately.
- Support performance and continuous improvement by monitoring engagement and relevant external activity, contributing to reporting and evaluation, and using insights to strengthen content and social media activity.

Essential
- Proven experience in professional video production and editing.
- Experience taking video projects from concept through to final delivery.
- Strong editing skills and experience with professional editing software such as Premiere Pro.
- Experience producing different types and lengths of video content.
- Ability to work with a range of contributors, including academics, senior stakeholders, students and external guests.
- Understanding of how video needs to be adapted for different platforms and audiences.
Desirable
- Experience with YouTube, and Social Media video platforms.
- Experience creating social-first content and understanding emerging formats.
