We are thrilled to offer a couple of exciting opportunities to join our Adult Early Support Team (AEST) as Team Manager's. One post is being offered on a permanent basis and the 2nd post is being offered on a fixed term contract until the end of December 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who wants to be part of a service that is transforming the way Adult Social Care responds to demand and supports citizens to live independently.

The role offers a unique opportunity to lead an innovative and fast-paced service within Adult Social Care. The service sits at the front door of Adult Social Care, bringing together early help, prevention, safeguarding triage and multi-agency partnership working to ensure citizens receive the right support at the right time. The team has grown significantly since its creation, reflecting both the success of the model and the increasing demand placed upon it.

The Adult Early Support Team (AEST) operates virtually, offering support without the need for face-to-face contact, promoting early intervention to maintain independence and connecting citizens with local resources. To succeed in this role, you'll need to be adaptable, eager to develop your leadership skills, and ready to take on a varied and rewarding position in a fast-paced environment.

Our aim is to provide effective, strengths-based support from the first point of contact, aiming to prevent, reduce, or delay the escalation of needs, identify and mitigate risk, and promote the independence of Manchester residents, whilst keeping residents of Manchester who are deemed to be vulnerable adults, safe and free from harm, abuse and neglect, contributing to the delivery of the city's prevention strategy and trauma informed agenda.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
