Your Role
As a Social Worker with us, you’ll champion the voice of the child and work relationally with families and partners to create lasting, positive change. You’ll play a key part in shaping excellent practice and ensuring children’s experiences are at the heart of every decision.

What You’ll Do
- Make confident, timely decisions grounded in statutory responsibilities
- Lead on Child in Need, Child Protection and Court work
- Build strong, compassionate relationships with children and families
- Communicate clearly, openly and respectfully
- Co-create effective support plans that meet children’s needs
- Work collaboratively with partners to gain a full picture of each child’s circumstances
- Advocate for children’s voices, rights and lived experiences
- Engage in reflective supervision and take ownership of your practice
- Support and mentor less experienced colleagues, modelling best practice

About You
You are:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Completed the ASYE and have at least 1 year post-qualifying experience
- Skilled at forming meaningful relationships with children and families
- Organised, reflective and confident in prioritising your workload
- Creative in championing the voices of children
- Dedicated to high standards, ethics and resilient practice
Vacancies
This advert will be used to recruit Children’s Social Worker vacancies across all locations (Beverley, Goole, Bridlington, Anlaby) in our Children's Assessment Service, Strengthening and Supporting Families Teams, and Children Looked After Team. In your application personal statement, please state your preferred work base location/s and preference for hours if applicable.
Applications will be reviewed on-flow and interviews arranged as and when there are vacancies to fill. Applicant preferences for workbase location/s and hours will be allocated based on interview scores for fairness and consistency.
