About The Role

Pay Details: Grade 8, SCP 26 - 30 £38,510 - £42,123 / Grade 9, SCP 31 - 35 £43,149 - £47,665 p.a.

Salary on appointment will depend upon and experience as determined by the appointing officer. There is no automatic progression from Grade 8 to Grade 9.

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week

Main Place of Work: Contact One Vale, Barry

Description:

This Social Work post is a dynamic and exciting role with a varied and interesting workload. You will need excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage rapidly changing and competing priorities. Experience of working within a first point of contact / crisis intervention team would be desirable but not essential.

You will need:

  • A recognised Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work i.e. Degree, DipSW, CQSW etc.
  • Registration with the Care Council
  • Experience of working with adults who are vulnerable through illness, disability or age related frailty
  • Assessment of Adult service users and carers.
  • Working in partnership with statutory/voluntary organisations to promote the independence of service users
