Specialist Social Worker for Adolescent’s
Plymouth City Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker for our newly developing Adolescent Team. This specialist service supports young people at risk of extra-familial harm, including exploitation, homelessness, serious youth violence, and contextual safeguarding concerns.
Are you an experienced and passionate social worker who is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable adolescents?
Plymouth's Safer Adolescents Service is seeking a skilled Specialist Social Worker to work with young people aged 10-18 who are experiencing, or at risk of, exploitation, serious youth violence, homelessness, harmful sexual behaviour, family breakdown, and other complex safeguarding concerns.
You will have substantial experience of working with adolescents who present with complex risk, undertaking high-quality assessments, and delivering effective interventions that reduce harm and promote positive change. Experience of contextual safeguarding, criminal and sexual exploitation, serious youth violence, missing children, risk outside the home, and multi-agency safeguarding is essential. You will be confident working with uncertainty, analysing risk, and building strong relationships with young people who may be resistant to engagement.
