Job Opportunity: Social Worker in Lincolnshire

Our client based in Lincolnshire is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team, specialising in Section 42 Triage. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled safeguarding practitioner to work within a fast-paced environment, supporting adults with care and support needs who may be at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in screening and triaging safeguarding concerns, assessing risk, determining safeguarding thresholds, and coordinating timely and proportionate responses. Working closely with adults, families, carers, health professionals, and partner agencies, you will promote the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal and ensure that safeguarding interventions are outcome-focused, strengths-based, and person-centred.

This role requires a confident practitioner with strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent professional judgement, and the ability to work effectively in a busy safeguarding environment whilst managing competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking triage of safeguarding concerns and determining whether Section 42 criteria are met in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
  • Screening referrals, identifying safeguarding thresholds, and determining appropriate safeguarding pathways and actions.
  • Assessing and managing risk effectively, ensuring safeguarding concerns are responded to proportionately and appropriately.
  • Developing and supporting safeguarding plans that promote safety, wellbeing, choice, and independence.
  • Promoting Making Safeguarding Personal, ensuring adults remain at the centre of safeguarding decision-making and outcome planning.
  • Applying professional curiosity to safeguarding practice, gathering information, analysing risks, and exploring concerns thoroughly.
  • Working collaboratively with health professionals, police, care providers, advocacy services, housing services, and other partner agencies.
  • Providing advice and guidance to professionals regarding safeguarding concerns, thresholds, and best practice.
  • Identifying innovative and community-based solutions that help reduce risks and improve outcomes for adults with care and support needs.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings, safeguarding documentation, and professional reports.
  • Participating in safeguarding meetings, discussions, and multi-agency forums where required.
  • Contributing to the development of high-quality safeguarding practice across Adult Social Care services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
