Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join its client's busy Safeguarding Hub at Trafford's. This role is ideal for practitioners with strong safeguarding expertise who can confidently manage Section 42 enquiries and work effectively within a fast-paced multi-agency environment.

Due to service demands, we're looking for candidates who can hit the ground running and have substantial experience operating at Level 3 Social Worker level.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Manage a caseload of adult safeguarding cases.
  • Undertake and manage Section 42 Care Act 2014 safeguarding enquiries.
  • Assess risk and determine appropriate safeguarding responses.
  • Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and support Best Interest decision-making where required.
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals, partner agencies, families, and carers.
  • Advocate for vulnerable adults and support positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports, and statutory documentation.
  • Contribute to effective multi-agency safeguarding arrangements across Trafford.

  • Qualified Social Worker (BA, MA, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience operating at Level 3 Social Worker level.
  • Significant experience undertaking and managing Section 42 safeguarding enquiries.
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983, and Human Rights Act 1998.
  • Experience working within Adult Social Care and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent assessment, risk management, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Working Arrangements

  • Initial 2-week office-based induction period.
  • Thereafter, 2 days per week in the office while undertaking duty responsibilities.
  • Candidates must live within a reasonable travelling distance of Trafford.

Compliance Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS with Adults' Barred List check.
  • 3 years' references required.
  • Full employment history with any gaps explained.
  • Relevant qualifications verified prior to start.
