How You'll Make a Difference
As a Social Worker, you will make a real difference to vulnerable people in our community, supporting them to live their lives in the way they choose. You will work with individuals who require social care services, along with their families and carers, to promote independence and ensure outcomes are clear, monitored, and regularly reviewed.
Collaborating closely with partners, you will ensure individuals receive the correct support at the right time, empowering them to live as independently as possible. With a strong emphasis on effective and lawful practice, you will ensure care and support remains appropriate and delivers best value, while supporting confident professional judgement and defensible decision making.
What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver person-centred, strengths-based support, focused on what matters most to the individuals we work with.
- Implement, monitor, and review care plans, ensuring actions and outcomes remain relevant and effective.
- Adapt plans to provide appropriate support when needs change.
- Promote the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of service users in line with current legislation, policy, and best practice.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records in line with professional standards and council requirements.
What We Need From You
- Hold a degree in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England.
- Have a strong understanding of asset and strengths-based approaches to adult social care.
- Be a confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Have a genuine passion for working collaboratively with people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Bring at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).

What You Need To Know
- Salary is pro rata to hours worked.
- You will be expected to travel throughout the authority and surrounding area, requiring a full, valid driving licence with regular access to a vehicle or an alternative means of travel.
- Business insurance will need to be added to your insurance policy.
- You can claim back mileage expenses.
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is a requirement of employment.
- This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Badminton Road, working from home, and working within the community.
Interviews will be held on 23rd September 2026.
