Social Worker – Court Team (Permanent)

Location: Northamptonshire Children's Trust, Northampton (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £40,369 – £43,686 (dependent on experience)

£6,000 Golden Hello

Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Northamptonshire Children's Trust to recruit Social Workers to join their Court Teams.

The Trust offers court practitioners a £6,000 Golden Hello alongside a service that has been rebuilt around the basics done well: manageable caseloads, visible leadership, and supervision that actually happens.

The Role

As a Social Worker within the Court Team, you will:

  • Manage children subject to pre-proceedings and care proceedings, ensuring plans progress without drift.
  • Prepare high-quality court statements, chronologies, and care plans.
  • Give clear, confident evidence in court where required.
  • Work closely with legal services, CAFCASS, and partner agencies throughout proceedings.
  • Keep children's needs, timescales, and voices at the centre of decision-making.

About You

You will be a committed and capable practitioner with:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
  • Post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence working with complexity, risk, and multi-agency partners.
  • A clear commitment to relationship-based and strengths-led practice.
