Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Social Workers
Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Social Workers to join our client’s Duty and Assessment Team in Tamworth, Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced front-door service, undertaking key statutory assessments and making a real difference to vulnerable children and families at the earliest stage of intervention.
About the Role
As part of the Duty and Assessment Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring children receive the right support at the right time. You will undertake initial assessments, evaluate risk, and make informed recommendations before cases progress to the safeguarding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Single Assessments (SWA) and Child & Family Assessments.
- Undertake Section 47 Child Protection enquiries.
- Complete Section 7 and Section 37 reports.
- Carry out Child in Need (CIN) assessments and planning.
- Participate in Child Protection Core Groups and planning meetings.
- Assess risk and identify appropriate interventions to safeguard children.
- Work closely with families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording in line with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Degree or Master's in Social Work (or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience within a Duty & Assessment, Referral & Assessment, or Safeguarding Team.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding practices, and assessment frameworks.
- The ability to manage a busy caseload and make sound professional decisions.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
