Social Worker / Experienced Social Worker
37 hours per week – Information, Advice and Assistance
Grade 11 at £44,253 per annum Entry Level up to 3 years and registration with Social Care Wales.
Grade 12 at £47,665 per annum Experienced Social Worker ~ minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience and registration with Social Care Wales.
About The Role
The Information, Advice and Assistance Team (IAA) is the first point of contact for all public and professional enquiries to RCT Children's Services. The IAA Team establish whether there is a need for the provision of information, advice and assistance or the investigation of safeguarding concerns.
About The Team
Within the IAA Team you will work as part of a fast paced, established, skilled and motivated team undertaking enquiries with families, members of the public and partner agencies to establish best outcomes for children. Typically the team consists of a team of Principal Social Workers, Social Workers and Assessor Care Managers. Within the IAA team all enquiries are conducted over the telephone which makes the role suited to those looking for work life balance and opportunities for hybrid working.

Additional Information
Those shortlisted for interview will be asked to confirm if they are applying for a Social Worker (GR11) or Experienced Social Worker (GR12) post prior to interview. Those applying for an Experienced Social Worker position will need to be prepared to provide evidence at interview of their registration with Social Care Wales and 3 years post-qualifying social work experience.
Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council.
In addition to this safeguarding responsibility, the successful applicant for this role will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
