Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult’s Social Worker
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult’s Social Worker to join its client’s Learning Disabilities team, based in Leicestershire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to support adults with learning disabilities and complex care and support needs to achieve positive outcomes, maximise independence, and live fulfilling lives within their communities.
The successful candidate will work within Adult Social Care, undertaking strengths-based assessments, care planning, safeguarding interventions, and reviews whilst working closely with individuals, carers, families, health professionals, providers, and partner agencies. You will play a key role in promoting empowerment, supporting positive risk-taking, and ensuring individuals receive personalised support that reflects their strengths, goals, and aspirations.
This role requires a confident Social Worker who can manage a varied caseload, work autonomously, and apply professional judgement within complex situations whilst delivering high-quality, person-centred practice.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Managing a caseload of adults with learning disabilities and complex care and support needs.
- Undertaking Care Act assessments, reviews, reassessments, and support planning to identify eligible needs and achieve positive outcomes.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing person-centred Care and Support Plans that promote independence, wellbeing, and choice.
- Acting as Care Coordinator for individuals with complex needs and coordinating support arrangements across multiple agencies.
- Supporting adults and carers to identify strengths, achieve personal outcomes, and access appropriate community resources and services.
- Undertaking safeguarding enquiries and responding to concerns relating to abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect.
- Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and contributing to Best Interest decision-making in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Assessing and managing risk appropriately whilst promoting positive risk-taking and independence.
- Supporting individuals to access Direct Payments, personal budgets, community resources, and preventative services.
- Working collaboratively with health professionals, providers, families, carers, advocacy services, and partner agencies to achieve coordinated support and positive outcomes.
- Managing crisis situations and responding promptly to urgent needs and safeguarding concerns.
- Preparing assessments, reports, support plans, reviews, and professional documentation to a high standard.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and legally compliant records using electronic case management systems.
- Contributing to ongoing service development, partnership working, and continuous improvement initiatives across Adult Social Care.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Professional Qualification: MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
- Experience: Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care services.
- Learning Disabilities Experience: Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs.
- Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Adult Safeguarding legislation, and associated statutory guidance.
- Assessment Skills: Proven ability to undertake strengths-based assessments, reviews, risk assessments, and support planning.
- Safeguarding Experience: Experience undertaking safeguarding enquiries and managing complex safeguarding concerns.
- Multi-Agency Working: Strong experience working collaboratively with health professionals, community services, care providers, families, and partner agencies.
- Care Coordination Experience: Experience coordinating complex care and support arrangements and working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, report-writing, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Professional Practice: Commitment to person-centred, strengths-based practice and continuous professional development.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively, prioritise competing demands, and work independently within a busy team environment.
