Children’s Social Worker (Looked After Children Team) – Havering, UK
Liquid Personnel is recruiting for a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Looked After Children team, based in Havering.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children in the care of the local authority.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Ensure placements (foster care, residential care, kinship care) are safe, stable, and supportive.
- Promote health, education, and emotional wellbeing, securing access to appropriate services.
- Maintain regular statutory visits and direct work with children.
- Prepare and present reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
- Collaborate closely with birth families, carers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
- Support children through transitions, including:
- Reunification with family
- Adoption
- Leaving care
- Advocate for the child’s voice in all aspects of planning and decision-making.

Requirements
To succeed, candidates must meet the following:
- Social Work England registration
- Ability to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified social work experience
- A degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Social Work
