Are you an experienced MASH & Assessment Social Worker looking for a role that offers manageable caseloads, flexible working, and strong management support?
We're working with a highly regarded local authority in the West Country that is currently recruiting experienced Social Workers to join its MASH & Assessment Service.
This authority is committed to keeping caseloads low and manageable, giving practitioners the time and space to complete high-quality assessments and make well-informed decisions that lead to positive outcomes for children and families.
This is an excellent opportunity for Social Workers seeking a better work-life balance, while continuing to grow professionally within a supportive and well-structured team.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out timely assessments and interventions, including:
- Completing Child and Family Assessments
- Responding to referrals and undertaking initial visits
- Managing duty responsibilities and safeguarding concerns
- Conducting Section 47 enquiries where required
- Risk assessment and decision-making
- Multi-agency partnership working
- Progressing cases to the most appropriate service pathway
- Working closely with children, families, and partner agencies

- Qualified Social Worker
- Current Social Work England registration
- Previous experience in a Duty & Assessment, Referral & Assessment, or Front Door service
- Strong assessment and risk management skills
