About The Post

The position: Specialist PFA Social Worker.
We are seeking a dedicated specialist social worker to join our Preparation For Adulthood Team. The ideal candidate will have a duel caseload working with children with disabilities transitioning to adult services who are subject to Child in Need plans and young people transitioning into adulthood.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Human Rights Act, Children's Act and Children and Families Act and other relevant legislation. If you have a passion for working with young people, children and adults and are committed to tailoring support to individuals building on their strengths then we want to hear from you. What you’ll need to join us, you’ll need to have a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. We’ll expect you to be a skilled communicator and a flexible, creative practitioner; determined to make the most of this unique opportunity.
