Role Description
The Social Worker will provide high-quality, person-centred support to children, adults, families, and carers across North East Lincolnshire, working on-site in Grimsby in a full-time capacity.

Responsibilities

- Undertaking assessments
- Developing care and support plans
- Coordinating appropriate interventions in line with legislation, policies, and best practice
- Conducting home visits
- Participating in multi-agency meetings
- Safeguarding individuals at risk
- Advocating for their rights, choices, and wellbeing
- Collaborating closely with colleagues in health, education, housing, and voluntary sectors to deliver integrated services and promote positive outcomes
- Maintaining accurate case records
- Preparing reports for panels or courts when required
- Contributing to service development through reflective practice and supervision
Qualifications
- Professional social work expertise, including assessment, care planning, safeguarding, and case management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building trust, managing sensitive conversations, and working with diverse individuals and families
- Collaboration and multi-agency working capabilities to coordinate support with health, education, housing, and community partners
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle caseloads, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records and reports
- Resilience, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving abilities to manage complex situations and make sound, ethical decisions
- A degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification) and registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and local safeguarding procedures, with a commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to work on-site in Grimsby and in the community, with flexibility to travel within the local area as required
- Experience in statutory social work, community-based practice, or related settings is beneficial
