About the Role
As a Social Worker within the Support & Safeguarding Team, you will play a vital role in protecting and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

You will be responsible for assessing needs, planning interventions and implementing support plans to safeguard children and improve outcomes for families. Working in partnership with children, families and multi-agency professionals, you will ensure that children receive the right support at the right time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking assessments of children and families
- Managing a varied caseload of children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and Public Law proceedings
- Developing and reviewing care and support plans
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children
- Building positive relationships with children, young people and families
- Completing high-quality assessments, reports and court documentation where required
- Ensuring interventions are child-focused, strengths-based and outcome-driven
About You
We are looking for passionate and committed social workers who are motivated to deliver excellent services for children and families.
To be considered, you will have:

- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Successful completion of your ASYE
- Experience working with children, young people and families
- Strong assessment, communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality safeguarding practice
- The ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
- The right to work in the UK
As an effective communicator, you will be able to build positive, strengths-based relationships with a diverse range of children, young people and families, while demonstrating professionalism, resilience and a child-centred approach.
