Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Social Worker

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for its client's West Locality Team based in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with care and support needs by delivering strengths-based, person-centred interventions that promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will work with adults, carers, families, and partner agencies to assess needs, manage risk, develop care plans, and ensure individuals receive the right support at the right time. This role is ideal for a confident practitioner who is passionate about empowering people to achieve greater independence while safeguarding those most at risk.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Complete strengths-based assessments for adults and carers in line with the Care Act 2014.
  • Develop and review person-centred Care and Support Plans focused on achieving positive outcomes.
  • Manage a varied caseload, ensuring assessments, reviews, and interventions are completed within required timescales.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Lead safeguarding enquiries, safeguarding planning, and reviews where concerns regarding abuse or neglect arise.
  • Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and contribute to Best Interest decisions when required.
  • Advocate for adults and ensure access to independent advocacy services where appropriate.
  • Work in partnership with health professionals, carers, families, voluntary organisations, and other agencies.
  • Promote strengths-based practice and community-led solutions to maximise independence.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, assessments, and reports.
  • Participate in supervision and contribute to a culture of continuous professional development.
  • Provide guidance and support to newly qualified social workers, students, and less experienced colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
