Liquid Personnel are proud to be supporting Oxfordshire County Council in recruiting a Social Worker and Senior Practitioner to join their Children’s Assessment Service on a permanent basis. - Competitive salary of £38,220 - £45,091 at Social Worker level per annum (DOE) or a salary of £46,142 - £49,282 at Senior Practitioner level (DOE)

About the Role
As a member of the Children’s Assessment Service, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing timely and effective support to children and families.
- Participating in a duty rota, receiving and managing referrals from MASH.
- Completing high-quality, evidence-based assessments to identify risks, strengths, and support needs.
- Leading Section 47 Child Protection Investigations where safeguarding concerns require further assessment.
- Working closely with children, families, and partner agencies to develop effective intervention plans.
- Ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time to achieve positive and lasting outcomes.
- Developing clear recommendations and plans that promote safety, wellbeing, and long-term stability.
- Working within a supportive team environment with guidance from experienced managers.
- Contributing to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare through effective assessment and decision-making.

About You
We are looking for passionate and committed social workers who are motivated to deliver excellent services for children and families. To be considered, you will have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Completion of ASYE
- Experience within Children's Social Care, safeguarding, or family support services
- Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to high-quality, child-centred practice
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
