About The Role
TR2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced A-Level Sociology Lecturer to join a Further Education college.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging A-Level Sociology teaching, prepare learners for examinations and support students to achieve strong academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality A-Level Sociology lessons.
- Prepare students for A-Level examinations and assessments.
- Cover the relevant Sociology specification and examination requirements.
- Develop engaging teaching and learning resources.
- Assess learner work and provide effective feedback.
- Monitor student progress and put appropriate interventions in place.
- Support students with exam preparation and revision.
- Promote critical thinking, analysis, and evaluation.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental activities.
- Support safeguarding, equality, inclusion, and college policies.

Requirements
- Degree in Sociology or a closely related subject.
- Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching A-Level Sociology.
- Strong knowledge of A-Level Sociology curriculum and assessment.
- Experience preparing students for A-Level examinations.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to supporting student achievement and progression.
