Position: Sociology Teachers, Postsecondary
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50 - $90/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design assessment tasks rooted in sociological concepts, ensuring clarity and measurability.
- Create high-quality rubrics aligned with assessment tasks using pedagogical frameworks like Bloom's taxonomy.
- Review and provide detailed feedback on educational materials to enhance clarity and rigor.
- Synthesize sociological literature to inform task and rubric development, ensuring academic integrity.
- Document rationale and criteria for assessments and rubrics for transparency and transferability.
- Collaborate asynchronously with domain experts and stakeholders through effective communication.
- Refine materials iteratively based on peer and project feedback.

Requirements
- PhD or ABD in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
- Active record of teaching and research/publication at the postsecondary level.
- Expertise in developing high-quality assessment tasks and rubrics.
- Deep knowledge of pedagogical principles, including Bloom's taxonomy.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills for distilling complex theories into educational content.
- Proven ability to give constructive feedback and review peer work objectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to academic rigor.
