Soft Landscaping Crew Leader

£32,000–£36,000 per year DOE + overtime
Company van provided
Full-time | Permanent | Monday–Friday
Based from Hermitage, Berkshire

Kennet Landscape Solutions Ltd is a well-established commercial landscaping contractor working with leading housebuilders across the South of England.

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for experienced Soft Landscaping Crew Leaders to join our team.

This is a hands-on position. You’ll lead a small landscaping crew while working alongside them, taking responsibility for the quality, productivity and day-to-day organisation of works on site.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and working alongside a small soft landscaping team
  • Organising the day’s workload and allocating tasks
  • Reading and working from landscape plans
  • Ground preparation, turfing, seeding and planting
  • Tree and shrub planting
  • Ensuring works are completed efficiently and to specification
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and presentation
  • Monitoring the productivity and quality of your team
  • Liaising with Contracts Managers and site management
  • Completing site paperwork and obtaining sign-off for completed works
  • Ensuring health & safety requirements are followed
  • Looking after company vehicles, tools and equipment

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to be an experienced landscaper who is comfortable taking responsibility for both the work and the people around you.

Essential:

  • Good practical soft landscaping experience
  • Experience leading or supervising others
  • Ability to read and understand landscape plans
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work without constant supervision
  • Experience working on new-build housing developments or other commercial landscaping projects would be a strong advantage.
