Role Overview

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Knee Fellow in Soft Tissue Knee and Joint Preservation Surgery. This full-time, 12-month post offers high-volume, focused subspecialist training explicitly designed as a direct preparation for a specialist consultant soft tissue knee post.

While the fellowship is ideally suited for a post-CCT surgeon seeking final-stage refinement prior to applying for consultant interviews, high-quality pre-CCT applicants will also be considered.

The successful candidate will gain comprehensive, hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of modern elective knee surgery. The majority of the fellow’s clinical and operative time will be working directly with Mr. John Dabis, Consultant Knee Surgeon, providing immersive training in his specific areas of expertise.

To ensure a well-rounded and versatile training profile, there are additional dedicated opportunities to work with Mr. Ran Wei and Mr. Usman Bhatty, both within the primary unit and through external clinical networks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
