Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a talented Software Applications Specialist to join our Operations Digital, IT & Software Team.

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in managing and enhancing the software platforms that support our business and project delivery teams across the UK and APAC. You'll work with a wide range of engineering, data management and collaboration applications, helping ensure our systems are secure, efficient and aligned with business objectives.

A key focus of the role will be supporting and administering Bentley ProjectWise, Binnies' Common Data Environment (CDE), while contributing to wider software management, application integration and digital delivery initiatives across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Administering, configuring and supporting Bentley ProjectWise and other business-critical applications
  • Managing ProjectWise metadata, workflows, permissions, document structures and configuration settings
  • Providing technical support and guidance to project teams, business users and external stakeholders
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues, working with vendors, IT teams and third-party providers
  • Supporting software integrations and information exchanges between internal and client systems
  • Developing and improving workflows, automation processes and application configurations
  • Producing user guides, training materials and best practice documentation
  • Supporting software licence management, compliance and optimisation activities
  • Assisting with application upgrades, migrations, testing and implementation projects
  • Monitoring system performance, user adoption and data quality to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Working closely with Information Management, Compliance, IT and Digital teams to support continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience administering and configuring Bentley ProjectWise
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Metadata and document attributes
    • Folder structures and naming conventions
    • Security permissions
    • Workflow configuration and administration
  • Experience supporting information management and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
  • Understanding of engineering software ecosystems and interoperability
  • Experience managing software licences, subscriptions and vendor relationships
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles and data workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience producing documentation, user guidance and delivering end-user support

Desirable Experience

  • Bentley ProjectWise certification or formal administration training
  • Experience supporting ProjectWise upgrades, migrations and implementations
  • Familiarity with Bentley digital delivery solutions, including:
    • iTwin technologies
    • Infrastructure Cloud
    • Deliverables Management
    • iModels
  • Experience supporting Autodesk, ESRI, Trimble or similar engineering applications
  • Understanding of software procurement and licence compliance processes
  • PowerShell scripting or process automation experience
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases or CEL
  • Experience working within engineering, infrastructure, environmental or construction sectors
