Job Title: Software Compliance Analyst
Industry: Public Sector
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location: Hybrid/London (SW)
Day Rate: £200 - £225 per day
The Role:
- Support the organisation's software compliance and vulnerability management activities, ensuring servers, workstations and software assets stay aligned with Cyber Essentials requirements and the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
- Deploy operating system and software updates across servers and workstations using MECM and Intune
- Manage the lifecycle of all operating systems, ensuring versions are upgraded ahead of end-of-life
- Collaborate with the Asset Manager on lifecycle management of software applications
- Work alongside Information Security Analysts to identify, prioritise and remediate vulnerabilities in line with agreed procedures
- Contribute to a new project rolling out Adaptiva OneSite Patch, helping ensure the deployment meets Cyber Essentials and CAF requirements, with configuration and processes properly documented
- Deliver regular compliance reporting, including a report ahead of each Patch Tuesday cycle, and track Intune device compliance and MECM deployment success rates
- Liaise with the Service Desk and wider technical teams on remediation, testing and troubleshooting, following agreed change management procedures

Skills Needed:
- Hands-on experience managing OS and software patching through MECM and Intune (Update Rings and ADRs)
- Good understanding of Cyber Essentials and the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
- Experience in vulnerability management, including assessing and prioritising CVEs and handling out-of-band/emergency patches
- Ability to write and maintain scripts to support remediation and patching (e.g. PowerShell)
- Strong reporting skills, able to produce clear, concise compliance and management information
- Experience operating within formal change management processes in an enterprise setting
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable liaising closely with Information Security and Service Desk teams
