Job Description: Software Craftsperson/Flutter/React

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Craftsperson/Flutter/React based in United Kingdom.

This is a remote opportunity for a mid-level software engineer who is passionate about building high-quality, maintainable software.

  • You will work on mobile product features and medium-sized engineering challenges while developing greater technical ownership.
  • The role combines hands-on development with strong software craftsmanship, test-driven development and pragmatic engineering practices.
  • You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, contribute to technical decisions and help turn ambiguous problems into clear solutions.
  • AI is embedded into the development process, giving you the opportunity to use modern tools to accelerate design, testing and delivery.
  • You will work across the full development lifecycle while keeping customer outcomes, system quality and long-term maintainability in focus.
  • This environment is designed for engineers who want to continuously sharpen their craft, share knowledge and grow their impact.

Accountabilities

  • Design and deliver product features and small-to-medium engineering challenges, working with support from senior engineers when needed.
  • Apply sound technical judgment within your areas of ownership, producing solutions that are reliable, maintainable and pragmatic.
  • Take increasing ownership of feature-level outcomes, proactively identifying and raising quality, design and delivery concerns.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous work by breaking down problems, identifying risks and dependencies, and communicating them early.
  • Follow an MVP-oriented approach by delivering small, valuable increments frequently while maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Write clean, test-driven code and continuously improve existing implementations through refactoring and disciplined engineering practices.
  • Apply software craftsmanship principles such as tidy-first and scout-rule practices to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Understand the purpose behind engineering practices, Developer Experience (DevEx) and DORA metrics, and identify opportunities to simplify and improve systems.
  • Consider non-functional requirements including performance, security, usability and scalability when designing and delivering solutions.
  • Collaborate transparently with teammates by communicating progress, blockers, decisions and next steps proactively.
  • Share technical learnings, experiments and insights with the wider engineering community.
  • Provide clear, constructive and respectful feedback while actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Use AI as a development collaborator to accelerate software design, testing, problem-solving and delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
