Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative products and services.
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software.

About the team
The Ring Video app team owns the media streaming experiences across the Ring and Blink smart home applications. The team builds native iOS and Android applications using Swift and WebRTC to deliver real-time video streaming to millions of customers worldwide.
Basic Qualifications:
- Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field
- Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
- Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles
- Expected graduation between August 2026 - November 2026, OR graduated within the last 24 months
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience from previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Experience with video encoding and streaming media standards
- Experience building Android or iOS applications
- Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVVM, clean architecture, or modular design)
- Experience developing native iOS applications using Swift
