Overview

Quest Software’s Global IT organization is seeking a Software Developer/Architect with expertise in Content Management Systems (CMS). The ideal candidate will have broad expertise in the field including Drupal. Responsibilities include defining the technical architecture, analyzing project objectives, designing and building custom solutions, creating custom workflows, and troubleshooting errors.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the content management system (CMS) for Quest’s online platforms.
  • Lead development for migration from custom-built systems to Drupal and other commercial systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, integrations, branding) and external teams (marketing and design firms, implementation consultants) to align on business needs and priorities.
  • Provide technical oversight, solution design, and hands-on development where needed.
  • Manage or advise on vendor performance and implementation quality.
  • Advocate for scalable, streamlined solutions—and challenge poor technical decisions when necessary.
  • Solve complex business problems through appropriate combinations of configuration, custom coding, and integrations.
  • Drive the shift toward dynamic content architecture, aligning with recent strategic direction.
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer and support enablement of internal development resources.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and business partners to ensure development is fit-for-purpose.
  • Adheres to content management best practices, maintains code documentation, and writes/maintains test classes for all custom development.
  • Uses DevOps tools for user story documentation and release management as directed.
  • Resolves complex technical support issues for internal users by understanding requests, triaging solutions, and independently solving problems.
  • Remains current with content management technologies and best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
