About The Role

MCS Group is excited to partner with a well-established and rapidly growing tech company based in Belfast, seeking to hire a Software Developer. This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to develop and enhance meaningful applications that make a tangible difference in people's lives. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, cross-functional product team operating within an agile environment, contributing to both frontend and backend development tasks. From day one, you will be involved in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating closely with experienced engineers to solve real-world problems. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in .NET software development, particularly in building robust applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C# with exposure to .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web APIs.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and services is a plus.
  • Understanding of modern web development frameworks and practices.
  • A genuine interest in both frontend and backend development, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient application architectures.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Identify and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues proactively.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to bring innovative ideas into projects.
  • Contribute to documentation and technical specifications to support ongoing development efforts.
  • Assist in mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative team environment.
